چکیده

Objectives: This study aims to investigate the distribution characteristics of the diseased area in non-compaction of left ventricular myocardium. Methods: In combination with the standardized myocardial segmentation of the American Heart Association, color Doppler ultrasound was used to analyze the occurrence of lesions in each segment of left ventricular walls in 21 patients with non-compaction of left ventricular myocardium. Results: The distribution characteristics in the lesions area in non-compaction of left ventricular myocardium were as follows: lesion rate in the apical tip was the highest (100%), followed by the lower and side walls of the apical segment, and the mid-cavity segments. Conclusions: Standardized myocardial segmentation is of great significance for the diagnosis of noncompaction of ventricular myocardium (NVM). Apical tip involvement is one of the sensitive and important bases of the ultrasonic diagnosis of this disease.

Isolated non compaction of left ventricular myocardium is a rare cardiomyopathy due to abnormalendomyocardialmorphogenesis. The incidence of non compaction cardiomyopathy in the general population has been estimated at 0.05% to 0.25% per year. NCCMP is a heart muscle disorder that is still little known among physicians and was first described in 1984 by engberding and bender. Echocardiograph...

The effect of eight weeks of moderate-intensity endurance training on myocardial capillary density, ejection fraction and left ventricular shortening fraction in male rats with myocardial infarction

Background and objective: Vascular obstruction and impaired blood flow and oxygen delivery cause a myocardial infarction and limit a personchr('39')s function. Therefore, finding a way to create new arteries and replace blocked arteries has always been of interest to researchers, including exercise physiologists. Therefore, this study was conducted to evaluate the effect of eight weeks of moder...

Isolated non-compacted right ventricular myocardium.

Ventricular non-compaction or spongy myocardium is a rare type of cardiomyopathy resulting from arrested myocardial development during embryogenesis. This rare entity is characterized by excessive prominent trabeculations and deep inter-trabecular recesses in the ventricular wall. The clinical manifestations include heart failure, arrhythmias and cardioembolic events. The usual site of involvem...

Left ventricular non-compaction cardiomyopathy and left ventricular assist device: a word of caution

BACKGROUND In patients with left ventricular non-compaction (LVNC), implantation of a left ventricular assist device (LVAD) may be performed as a bridge to transplantation. In this respect, the particular characteristics of the left ventricular myocardium may represent a challenge. CASE PRESENTATION We report a patient with LVNC who required urgent heart transplantation for inflow cannula obs...

Measurement of Left Ventricular Myocardium Wall Instantaneous Motions with Echocardiographic Sequence Images

Background & Aims: One of the important aims of quantitative cardiac image processing is the clarification of myocardial motions in order to derive biomechanical behavior of the heart in the disease condition. In this study we presented a computerized analysis method for detecting the instantaneous myocardial changes by using 2D echocardiography images. Methods: The analysis was performed on th...
